Dear SPC Ryan

Son, please know that I wanted to be there with all of my heart, with all of my being, to welcome you home from Iraq.  I wanted to shout MOVE THAT BUS, to feel the vibration in my chest of American Soldier being played as you charged down that field.  I wanted my eyes to be the first eyes to see your feet upon American soil.  I wanted to get weak in the knees when I finally searched you out in the crowd.  I wanted to be there to be caught up in your giant hug and to give thanks to God for your safe return.  Instead, I spent the hour of your arrival searching YouTube for 1st Cavalry Homecomings, weeping as if I were there with you.  Feel my arms around you.  They have been there all along, directly underneath The Hand of God, Who protected you, and now returns you back to me, my first born child, my baby boy.

(This is not a video of your return of course, just one that I really liked)

Welcome Home, Heroes of the 3-8 1st Cavalry.

Well done soldiers, well done.

Sorry Sorry I am late. I went to see the old doctor today so he can check my heart.

Right now my heart is beating wildly at the excirement and as soon as I saw the banners Welcome Home Heores, I had goosebumps and my ears tingled.

Ryan will have another special homecoming in AZ. That is going to be one beautiful homecoming.

Welcome home Ryan and THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU very much dearest Ryan for making this world and this country a safer place.

Deborah, your elation and thankfulness and joy and love...I can feel it all from here. What a beautiful and moving video. All that is nothing compared to the squeals and tight embraces and tears that will come when he arrives on your doorstep.

Welcome home to homeland soil, our heroes! A thousand hugs and kisses to you!!!

Hi Deborah, Put YOUR arms around his SOUL more even than around his body. And when he is home show him Milo in the Mideval little chappel near my home in The Netherlands, in a quiet playful moment and mood. For isn't Milo travelling the world not so very much the symbol for your outreaching arms and your outgoing heart ? And so he knows he is being prayed for like the peoples of good will in Irak.

Oh Deborah, I watched this cried for you, for Ryan and every family and soldier involved. There was so much raw emotion in that video, I couldn't watch it all- I retreat when emotions are too much. I can't imagine being in your shoes. Enjoy every moment and hair on your sons head. This is a precious time. I'm so happy for you all!!!! This is a good day!!!
All my love,
Junie

Oh Deb, I'm shedding happy tears for you. A mother's prayer answered: the safe return of her baby, her first born son. May God continue to bless him and protect him.
