True Blue - HOOAH!

expertInfantryBadge

Expert Infantry Badge

Congratulations, SPC Ryan.  You have become a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

To learn more about the EIB, go here or here.

The lost boy that left for boot camp a mere 25 months ago no longer exists.  You have become the man you always wanted to be.  As a son, you have become more than I ever dreamed of.

HOOAH!

I have goosebumps! This is a day for rejoicing. I am savoring this achievement with 3yan and you my dearest beloved sisterfriend. My angels sent you to me. The sky was beautiful today. Though the clouds were thick, surely the sun was shining through and it was the most beautiful silver lining. I will share the pic later. Congratulations to my dearest Ryan.

"To be awarded the EIB, the soldier must complete a number of prerequisites and pass a battery of graded tests on basic infantry skills; usually the testing phase is the culmination of weeks of training. The EIB test is administered on average once per year with pass rates usually near 30 percent, depending on the unit conducting testing."

quite an honor, deborah. pass rates of 30%! that just confirms once again ryan's competence and strength.

i had to laugh when i looked this up. i saw the term 'mos' and it brought me back. did you know i was a counselor in an army education center in germany for a couple of years? it was one of the best experiences of my life.

congratuations to ryan and his MOM. worth dancing up a storm for...

love

We thank these men every day of our lives.

I hope they all know that, no matter where our political affiliations and endorsements lay, we have their best interests and wishes at heart, always.

Congrats to your son - and to you for the obvious pride you have for him.

Not much comes close to feeling proud of our children, when they are proud of themselves, when they have accomplished something truly worthy and honourable.
Congrats , and blessings to him as he follows his dreams.
