Memories . . .

100_3612

Thinking about

All the ages I’ve been,

Long tan legs

Pumping the ten-speed

Through the park

All the while knowing

My hip hugger short-shorts

Show off the dimples

At the base of my spine,

Making all the boys drool.

Now that’s a memory

worth remembering.

And soon i'll just be a series of images that sometimes flash through your mind.
And after that, only a few will stay.
Then, one.
Only one.
A memory of a memory.

Dearest Deborah:

No one is fighting with anyone, especially not me with my beloved Mita. We are having an academic discourse about fighting with people we love which is an awful thing to do. And as for you, let me be clear, I love you and this is no front, not for any possible novel I will not be writing about you or how I feel about you. Hehehehe :)

As for your memory, I say it is a very tantalizing picture. You can write a novel, erotic or otherwise and there will be drooling about something. Right now I am drooling not for someone's tan legs but for corned beef hash. Bella and I have been talking about corned beef hash the other day and I cannot shake it off my mind.

Damn! I want to see those long legs of yours.

My favorite memories:

Leaning my head on my mother's lap as she plays with my hair...

My father marching me to college to witness my apology to my Spanish teacher to whom I screamed and sent to the hospital for nervous breakdown...

Laughing with my brothers and sisters during the holidays and crying with my brothers and sisters during our parents' funerals...

Meeting the Viking for the first time...

Seeing my son and daughter after they were born and me kissing every inch of their newborn bodies...

Remembering flea-infested Daisy when she was 4 weeks old and rescued by my son...

Talking to you last week when my heart was breaking and hearing your steady and reassuring voice...

What a lovely memory. I'm not sure I ever made boys drool, but I loved riding my ten speed. :) Sometimes I dream about that! lol! xox Pam
