Pot Gardening at the Country Townhouse

Brawny Man wants to get a super soaker squirt gun to shoot them with.

I think we should get an owl.

Opinions please

Uuuuummmm.......you'd need a FIRE HOSE after the owl had been there.
Just saying..... ;-D
I was a little confused by the post title; thought you might have taken to growing illegal plants...bwa-hahahahahahaha!!!!

HA! That is what my dear neighbor at the old house thought every time I told her I was going to pot garden out here! So Maryann, this post is for you ♥♥♥

Il faut trouver une plante aux odeurs repoussantes pour les oiseaux indélicats!!!

Hi Deb. Those pigeons can be bothersome. hahaha Sorry, I have no thoughts on how to move them along.
I LOVE your bright blue pots ~ maybe that is the attraction. (:

I love the blue pots. The bird problem is something I've been dealing with myself. I love the birds, but not the poop! I heard using hair from your haircuts will keep animals away but I don't know if it works on birds.

Hello Deb.....I haven't commented in a while...but I peek in now and again...and always keep you and your Man in my prayers.

The blue pots are wonderful....

Here's my "Owl" story.... there's a restaurant a few blocks from my home....the pidgeons have *adopted* the roof as *theirs*.... the restaurant owners bought several ceramic owls to *frighten off* the pidgeons....the other day, happened to look up - and six pidgeons were perched atop the owls.... it made me laugh out loud...because they were not in the least alarmed. Don't invest in any....

p.s. I thought from your blog title exactly what Anne said! (Well, I am from California!) ♥♥

deb, i looked it up:

'Place plastic owls and rubber snakes strategically around your balcony or porch. This may scare the pigeons. You will need to continually move the owls and snakes, or the pigeons will learn that they are harmless and ignore them.'

i also read to make a hole in and string aluminum pie pans together and hang them on a line on your patio. the clang and shine apparently is not appreciated by pigeons.

i do not think pigeons can be enticed to clean up after themselves so don't bother leaving out wipies

Dear Deb and Brawny Man,

I found your blog via a post you left on Lime In The Coconut about outdoor showers. Now that nearly an hour has passed and I've read all your posts back to this one, I don't recall what you wrote in that comment. I'm sure it wasn't so much what you "said" but how you said it that caught my attention.

Thank you so very much for this joyous ride through the past year of your lives.

Happy Father's Day Brawny Man!

OK I had to go back and look.... you said you nearly drowned while singing in the shower so now you only take baths!

Tell the story OR link me to the post - you must have one. :-)
