Just A Yesterday Ago...

I walk through the house
placing my hands upon the walls
as I pass.
Every inch contains a memory...
I once had children here.
I close my eyes and
hear the sounds of Long Ago...
Babies squealing,
children laughing,
my own words sweeter
that I ever thought I could be.
I remember I felt some days
back then
were 72 hours long...
and yet,
standing on this side of Yesterday,
twenty years went by in a flash.
Please tell me,
little ones no longer small,
that I loved you enough.

Oh, be still me heart!!!

My Mom is sooo sad we are all gone. Her and my dad called the other day (well, they call 500 times a day) but, this one day, they wanted me to play the piano for them over the phone...

I did, dad cried... I said, OY, you guys. When I was a kid you wanted me to stop banging on the thing and now, you want me to play over the phone?

Then My Mom said, after they are all gone, you wished you had just sat and watched them grow every second, every minute ;)

Time flies... I can't believe I am in my thirties... Or can I? tee heee....

You children are beauitful!! xoxo

I just came from A Fanciful Twist and found your blog. Your response to Fanciful's wonderings about the cowboy picture was fabulous and prompted me to find you. I just read your plea to know that you loved them enough and you struck a chord in me. I don't kow you, but I would risk a profound guess that you surely loved them as ONLY you could do. Smile and know that you have raised them , loved them and touched them in ways that are un speakable. Blessings on your day.

Oh...Stright to my soul. These are my thoughts so often these days.

So bittersweet this growth that they continue with.

Beautiful words!

I'm glad you visited my blog.....so I could find yours!

You could not have said it any better. Hindsight is indeed 20/20 and I would give anything to have just one day back when my girls were little. It did indeed go by so fast...
