PFC Ryan Reporting for Duty

heart-1

He tore through here like a loving tornado
gathering up our hearts
so that he could take them back with him.
There was little sleeping and much laughter and noise,
endless celebration of a human spirit
who has placed himself on the path to having life to the fullest.
There was the overflowing Joy of him falling in love
for the first time as a man . . . not some childhood fantasy;
hours spent in conversation about his future plans.
Tomorrow morning at 6:00 a.m. his plane takes off
for Iraq.
Mid Tour Leave was a blast.

PFC Ryan, be gentle with our hearts . . .
We need to see your dreams come true.

I love you with all my heart.

I am ever so proud of you.

My thoughts of peace and hope and safe travels go with Ryan but my heart goes out to you, dear Deb, as only a mother can know how you must be feeling right now.
My love and support are with you always.

Dearest Deborah,

Your words are ever so beautiful. Thank you for the moving prayer you left on my blog. It warmed my heart and helped me heal. Thank you for your friendship.

I'm very sorry to hear about the passing of your mother in law. I'm thankful she went peacefully and find encouragement in your loving and positive outlook. Your children are beautiful. I shall pray for the safe return of your courageous and wonderful son. God bless him!
