Another Time

Picnik collage Mom

There's a wideness in God's mercy
I cannot find in my own
And He keeps His fire burning
To melt this heart of stone
Keeps me aching with a yearning
Keeps me glad to have been caught
In the reckless raging fury
That they call the love of God

Picnik collage Dad

Now I've seen no band of angels
But I've heard the soldiers' songs
Love hangs over them like a banner
Love within them leads them on
To the battle on the journey
And it's never gonna stop
Ever widening their mercies
And the fury of His love

rmnpp

Joy and sorrow are this ocean
And in their every ebb and flow
Now the Lord a door has opened
That all Hell could never close
Here I'm tested and made worthy
Tossed about but lifted up
In the reckless raging fury
That they call the love of God

Lyrics by Rich Mullins, The Love of God

This is so beautiful, I would have never thought to put that all together.
LOL!!! Deb you are so funny, I think you are so artistic. I would call you an artist. Life is an art and if you do it ot the best of your ability, you are an artist!
We are all artists!
And you are a good one!!!
Love and hugs.

Absolutely beautiful Deb. I can add no more than what has aready been said, other than I love the old photos and the handwritten letters. There is a beauty to the style of a humans writing; no one else matches it---it is their signature of life.
It is priceless, fading quietly away in fountain pen ink on aging paper.....

XXOO!!
Anne

That is all any artist does Deb. Ingest input randomly, chew it up and digest it, and then throw it up with their own individual twist, skill set, and interpretation.
You are indeed an artist.
You have panache, a Je ne sais quoi, which is all you and it is gorgeous and wonderful to look upon.
Wow!!! Congratulations to your parents on 67 years, it is a long long time.
I can see where you get your beauty from!!

Hah! you know me through Rainy! (renee) I knew I could track you down. I love Rich Mullins. I actually called and talked to his, um, I think it was his brother's wife, a while ago. I questioned her about his supposed switch to Catholicism just before his death. Anyway, I sure miss him. And loved your pics and poetry. I'll be stoppin back. ~rick
