Horsin’ Around on Valentine’s Day

55th Annual Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show

Ahaa-photo

55th Annual Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show
February 11-21, 2010
at Westworld, Scottsdale, Arizona

This is how I spent Valentine’s Day,  Horsin’ around in the

Beautiful Arizona Desert.

100_2495

It’s an Other World experience

100_2488

I love to watch the competition, but THIS is my favorite part

100_2496

Walking through the barns.

The smell of leather, alfalfa, and Horses.

Can I get a men’s cologne made that smells that good, please and thank you.

100_2486

So amazing what the farms bring and set up.  We’re talking custom semi trucks.

100_2489

Elaborate facades.

Cactus Rose Ranch was having a good day.

100_2485

Simply Beautiful.

No photos inside the barns.  This is serious competition.

100_2493

Just ask Jack.

This outfit is simply to keep him clean.

100_2494

Jack’s Menu.

He likes  a little oil with his grain.

100_2490

Didn’t catch HIS name, but he was keeping an eye on his horses.

100_2501 THIS guy, not so much.

100_2498

The day ended on a sweet note.

Gifts from our Boyz.

Yep.

Horsin’ around in the Arizona Desert on Valentine’s Day.

It’s a pretty good thing.

100_2481And

The Big Guy came home for a visit!

AAAAAWWWW! The best picture is the one on the bottom. What a sweet surprise. I bet you were very happy. BUT WAIT! OMG! Look at that apple, is that an apple covered by drugs? I WANT THE DRUGS, never mind the apple.

Deborah, you are very beautiful! TSUP!!!

What lovely vibrant pictures ! especially SPC Ryan - he`s looking very well and dashing in the uniform !

I love all animals , but horse`s scare me ! ;o) I guess because of their size and they can sense if you`re nervous !

What a wonderful story in pictures! I loved this! Love the mountains, the horses, the dogs (this one, not so much, too funny!) and your Big Guy. I'm glad he came home :-)

Oh, I LOVE horses. My aunt and uncle owned a horse farm in Kentucky (sold after my uncle's death). I adored the horses and had so many adventures there! I long to have enough acreage to have a horse or two. Maybe someday!

Love your last photo. I know you enjoyed your visit.

Have a great weekend,
Paula

Great photos! I grew up with horses (in PA), and never tire of horse shows.

Is "the big guy" your husband or son? Whichever, you look happy to be together!

Oh yes! I have heard of those strawberries! They are diabolical! Imagine all that goodness! Yowza!

Deborah you have the cutest and smartest hairdo. Maybe it has to do with the fact that you also are beautiful. So. There it is. TSUP!

What a fabulous day for you! Especially for the visit from that fine young man!! Aren't horses magnificent? I like their smell too. Thanks for coming by. I like to play in the dirt..nothing renews like an afternoon on the knees playing in the dirt! Hugs to you, dear one!

That's an awesome way to spend Valentine's. I love horses. Keep dreaming of moving into the countryside some day and having a barn filled with horses.

Oh, how wonderful!! Horses, barns, your boy home and a very happy chocolate covered strawberry!

I LOVE the smell of barns, stables and horses. I spent six years of my life in horse stables and learned riding on a white horse who was part Arabian horse. Usually you couldn't tell, but when he got excited started prancing and pricking his ears, he looked majestic! I don't miss riding, but I do miss that smell and the feel of their soooooft noses!

You are a beautiful woman, Deborah!! Love, Silke

I just had to stop by and tell you how beautiful I think the prayer you left for Renee is!
It is amazing and so comforting!
My brother lives in Gilbert and I was able to visit last winter. It's lovely!

Oh darlingest of Debaloos! I have been remiss in my visits and didn't stop by for Valentine's Day. SHAME ON ME AND PLEASE FORGIVE. I have been trapped on my own farm (s) and missed the real one you enjoyed.
Oh I too love the smell of leather and a freshly cleaned stable. It's something close to heavenly...well maybe that's an exaggeration, but you know what I mean, tee hee!

love, me

I was looking for Sweet Sixteen Dresses and was wondering if Anna Sui is the best designer for Sweet Sixteen Dresses?
