Happy Sisterfriend Day!

100_2763

What is a sisterfriend?  It is one who knows the song of your heart and sings it to you when you forget.

It is a group of three or more women whose hearts and souls are joined together by laughter and tears shared through the glorious journey of life.

What is this photo of?  The reflection of the pergola in my pool. The lights are all of you, my beloved sisterfriends, reflecting the goodness and beauty of life.

Blessed be the day I was brought into the Sisterhood.

Oooh WHAT HAVE I DONE? WHAT HAVE I DONE???

I was thinking today that I must have done something right because I am so blessed. My friend at work who has been so against my blogging finally sent me an email telling me she understood when I explained to her why I blog and how I love my solitude. She and my best friend are both beautiful, not only pretty and attractive but smart, intelligent, highly educated, academically and professionally accomplished and talented BUT they are nice on top of everything. I feel so lucky. So while I was eating General Tso's chicken and shrimp fried rice that my beloved Viking ordered for dinner, I thought of the meaningful people in my life. Aaaaw Deborah, that I think of you and Manon and Marie, Silke leaves me breathless because I really feel true caring, not just being polite or sycophantic or flattery, we know when that happens and how superficial those are but we tolerate them from people because we want to be polite. But we don't have to be polite with sisterfriends because goodness and kindness is the norm and we remain true. So today my heart felt like exploding from my chest cavity and to tell you frankly, look ! Look! Look! I have omitted Bella's and Arija's names and I have not mentioned everyone who I truly care about. So what have I done to deserve such beautiful, truly gifted, emotionally and mentally healthy people who make me laugh and cry tears of joy? Damn! I promised not to be so emotional. Okay, I am fine. I just want to say I am so proud and so blessed to call you friend and I love your beautiful gentle voice. Thank you...and Vanessa! Oh my Ms. Vee my sister Vee and that beautiful soul who touched us. We all know her. God bless us all and God bless Renee.
