Weekend Update

100_3770

This is what my kitchen looked like all weekend.

100_3769Actually, it got worse than that.

It got downright dirty.

So I went looking for my own project.

100_3766Ten years ago when I recovered the dining room chairs in this floral I was in my

Romantic Stage.

However, last year we were finally able to replace the old living room set.  Did you ever watch “Full House”?  Remember the blue plaid couch? YEP.  I had one just like it.  For a  very  long time.

100_3763

Until last year when I fell madly in love with this handsome guy.

I found the striped fabric you see on the right.  The lighting in this photo doesn’t show the true color of the fabric; it matches the colors in the couch perfectly.

It now covers the backs of the dining room chairs.  I was actually able to find a solid brown for the chair seats that matches the pillows on the couch too.

However,

Brawny Man, being extremely busy with his tile project, was not available to help with the stapling of the fabric on the cushions.

So now I have TWO ROOMS torn up.

100_3772 I find this greatly disturbing.

**sigh**

Deb, honey....come to my house.
It's always torn up. You just learn to hide in the studio and not wear contacts when dealing with the household interior.
I can't see the giant dust bunnies that way! :D
Things will be fine....just have a nice glass of wine by the pool!

XXOO~~♥

Oh! I think it's SO MUCH FUN to have things torn apart. It means that something will be finished soon, or not ;-O. But anywho, your couch is LOVERLY!!!! I simply adore paisley fabric...tre's chic!!! And once your chairs are finished everything will be magnifico!!! It's just too bad that we aren't neighbors because I would run over and help you with your chairs. I'd even bring my very own pneumatic upholstery gun...hee hee!!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that striped fabric and the fabric on your couch! Very rich and inviting. Actually, it's the PERFECT time to tackle those chairs. If ya ain't cookin', ya' ain't got no use for the dining room chairs. New stuff! YAYYYYY!

Oooooh! Rich, elegant, classic! I love the new fabric. You are very gifted and what eye you have for decorating. I read this earlier while at was at work in my little itty bitty phone and I could not wait to get back home and look at larger photos. I think these are both fabulous projects. Enjoy! Enjoy!

Oh, Deb! Your house looks lovely and tidy. You should see the mess I am in here. We actually have a step ladder in the living room for no other reason than we were decorating for Halloween a few days ago (ahem...many days ago!) and it is just, well, still there. Add in baskets of laundry, and etsy stuff everywhere...pass the wine, Deb. :) Love the new fabric! xox Pam

I think I used that same striped fabric on my porch furniture! Which got ruined because it was inside fabric, oops.

Deb, it is going to look SO beautiful when it's done that you won't remember the disorder and chaos! If you took one look at my studio, you would RUN! We are talking major disorder.
When you're finished with those chairs, will you hop on over to Virginia and do a few for me? I'll give you WINE!!! (:
