Alice and Dead Bob

1

The evening started so innocently with an invitation received in the mail.

5

Intriguing! Thought Alice.

 Picnik collage

Dead Bob!

Why, Alice hadn’t thought of Dead Bob since . . .

6 Well, since the funeral!

100_2028 Alice closed her eyes for a minute and breathed out a heavy sigh.  Upon opening her eyes, she realized that she had not been in her own house at all …

This was Dead Bob’s home.

100_1934 Alice couldn’t help but wonder when was the last time he cleaned.

100_1919She felt as if all eyes were upon her.

100_1941 So many strange little bottles and jars

100_1930with strange disturbing names.

And no labels to check for calorie and fat content.  Alice likes to watch her figure.

No literally, she watches herself in the mirror.

Although, the Eye Candy did look appealing.

100_1915

Oh, Dragon Breath!

That’s definitely Bob’s.

100_1908How does that raven not catch fire from the candle, Alice marveled?

100_1920OOOooooo, are those Carmel apples?

100_2045Oddly, Alice was beginning to feel at ease here.  The glow of the candles was hypnotizing.  Alice could just imagine how radiant her skin must look.

100_2048And Alice was getting hungry…she decided to try a mouse.

Picnik collage  Just a little over cooked…

100_1955

BOO!

Did I scare you?

100_1956 Little bit Bob, Alice said.

100_1959

Oh Alice, you haven’t changed a bit.

 100_1990I know! said Alice.

Remember, Alice adores herself.

Neither have you, she whispered under her breath.

Really, not one bit since the funeral.

Not even your tux.

 100_1966

Faster than lightening, Bob was sitting at her side…

Awkward, Alice said, as Dead Bob put his hand on her knee.

100_1974 And before she knew it, Alice had smacked Bob to the ground!

100_2004Alice lets Dead Bob lay there a bit while she plays with the bats.

Her hair turned out far to perfect to let Bob ruin her evening.

100_1989 Having greatly enjoyed the knock down, Dead Bob offers Alice a drink.

100_1980 But what Alice does not see . . .

100_1922 would change her future.

100_1982Just one sip, and Alice is feeling not quite herself.

She’s feeling fuzzier in the brain than normal,

She’s thinking a little blonder than usual.

100_2009  Alice turns around and Dead Bob has a present for her.

Alice loves gifts.

Her head is spinning from the drink.

100_2014My oh My, diamonds really are a girl’s best friend.

100_2022

Suddenly Bob doesn’t look so Dead.

100_2024He’s definitely looking wealthy.

100_2021  Alice notices that Bob has a very nice smile and a good laugh…

If they just introduce his front teeth to each other.

100_2027

Oh yes, Dead Bob was great fun and a pretty good dancer!

Watch the hands, Bob…

There’s talk of a wedding.

A black Wedding.

100_2064 Alice awakens in terror to the sound of her own heart beating

louder and harder than ever before,

With a candy bowl full of empty wrappers upon her lap.

100_2065WOAH!

No more candy binges for me, thought Alice.

Worst nightmare I’ve EVER had!

Alice lets out a sigh of relief,

grateful it was only a dream.

100_2060  Until she sees the ring on her hand…

The End.

she won’t be using it for candy any time soon.

Man oh man! I feel like bumbling idiot. I am so exciteds of what to say, which favorite lines are my best, I mean which best lines are my favorites, oh wait, it does not makes sense at all, I can't's speak English and worse, can't writes in English, I am so excited like I ate all the candy and chocolates!

I mean which lines are my favorites. Like the "Blonder than usual"
and "Dead Bob does not look dead but rich"

and all the trappings and the props

This is MAGNIFICENT!!!

very riveting!

And OMG!

Alice is so beautiful. You know someone is truly beautiful when without the make up, she is beautiful and absolutely gorgeous.

What a great sport she is for posing for her Mom. Give alice a hug for me. She is a champ and give dead Bob a toothy kiss from me!

I love this. I am coming back!

Oh Sweet Alice, YES SUGAR is the poison of all poisons ! Ask your dear mother to remove the ring from Dead Bob and remember: only beautiful mothers make beautiful young women like you are.
What a terrific but horrible story !
Take care now.

What is even more fun is thinking how you and Alice and Dead Bob do this together. I think it says a lot about you dear Deborah to snag your daughter who so willingly plays her role with much aplomb and gusto. Good morning! You have me chuckling again!

Oh Deborah my dear...

You have outdone yourself. Alice and Dead Bob were great fun {although she is a bit abusive... I mean, that's no way to treat a poor cadaver}.

Do please accept my humble apologies for joining your party so late. You see... I was traveling home from New York on Saturday and had no computer access. Now I'm playing catch-up and visiting all of Vanessa's wonderful parties.

Thank you so much for flying over to Casa Hice on your broom and leaving your little petite witchy footprints on my welcome mat. Do come again, as the door is always open.

And now, I must away and subscribe to your enchanting blog with haste!

Happy Halloween!

Sorry I've been away my daughter has been very ill in the hospital and I've been caring for the babies. She's home and quite a bit bit better now.

Deborah, you are a scream!!! You have a wickedly wild sense of humour which I love!! These photographs are amazing and your daughter did a fabulous job as Alice (brava, brava!!!). I love the carved pumpkin (it's awesome) and the "disarono" potion is delightful!! Very clever, very well done and the story is fantastic!!!!

Thanks for sharing this -- I'm glad I made it to the party -- late (but then, wasn't Alice just a little late -- oh no, that was her little furry friend!!!).
