Choices

cana

This two-toned Cana lily can’t decide what color to be.

Some days I feel like that .  Today I shall be majestic purple, because on this crisp Autumn morning all is well…I leave the past behind me and dwell only in this moment, for I am blessed.  It is an easy choice for me, for I am in a comfort zone; I survived the storm and the next one is far enough ahead on the horizon that I do not sense fear yet…but what I need to know is how those still so deep within the storm rise each morning and give hope to someone like me…

“Little keepers of the Promise, falling on these souls this drought has dried”.

(lyrics by Rich Mullins)

I humbly bow and offer this flower to the Keepers of the Promise,

Renee, Jacquie, and Stephanie.

Peace to you.  Peace of Christ to you.

What an absolutely exceptional canna....father used to grow those...I always think of him. He could coax them into wonderful blooms; they laugh at me.

deb, only a survivor could speak these words.

there may be a storm somewhere brewing, but you wisely choose to live in the present, and because of that you try not to miss a single moment even when you're afraid. our renee knows that too. i admire your grit, deborah. i always have.

I love two toned flowers. It's like they decided one color is not enough-and why should it be?

Beautiful Deb! Today I'm spring green, you know that vibrant color that shoots up from the dark rich soil like a breath of fresh air after the slow melt of winter. Oh wait you have no idea what I'm talking about you live in a warm, sunny place-Lucky girl. Love the pic!

Perhaps it should be red? Or maybe, yellow? No matter, it is more than beautiful as it is!
