To the Top of the roof, to the Top of the Tree . . .

100_2232

Silly Little Paul flew to the top of the Christmas Tree upon his return from the North Pole last night.  I do wonder what he has been reporting to Santa about our Bad Bad Alice.

Question:  Where is your Angel tree topper, Deb?

Answer:   I don’t do the Angel thing. See the cross at the top of the tree, of course symbolizing the crucifixion, the feathery ornament is a representation of Angel wings, and the golden spirals represent the Resurrection.  Christmas in a nutshell.

Tomorrow:  Ornament History.

That's a beautiful "nutshell" Deb! I love this idea and this representation...and that Silly Little Paul has a very cheeky grin on his face...he's definitely been up to something!! :)

Wow, Deb - that is Christmas in a nutshell! :) It's lovely topper. We have a star, which sometimes lights, and sometimes doesn't. It's very exciting and suspenseful - hahahaha! Can't wait until Ornament History class. I am sharpening my pencils to take notes!

OOoooh! I love your tree. I love your home! It is filled with joy and happiness and so much love. Why is Alice bad? What has she been doing? A beautiful girl like that can't be bad!

What a great idea! I have several beautiful crosses and never even thought of using them as toppers. Yet I am not surprised to see that you have thought of it, you are a poet, afterall. You see possibilities where the rest of us are left dumbfounded.
By the way, your tree is breathtaking! Have a blessed week, Deb.

Please come do my house. Have Paul cast his magic Christmas spell on it, and get it clean....LOL!!!
Beautiful story on the tree topper. I've never done an angel; Always a star (the Magi) and then a small antique glass ornament beneath with Jesus in swaddling cloth.
Couldn't do it this year with the mini-tree and I miss that.......
Lovely decs my dear!!!

XXOO!!
Anne

P.S. Have about 16 heavy, ornate plaster with gold leaf crosses----they are beautiful through out the tree!

Oh so darling Debaloo!! No wonder you were plum tuckered out this morn, but fear not! The bed linens have been changed, the comforter turned down, and there's hot tea on the night stand. All is ready for a peaceful night of dreamy sleep. Oh, the key is under the door mat ;-).

xoxo Cori
