Oh How He Loves Me

scan0001

Lyrics by John Mark McMillan

He is jealous for me
Loves like a hurricane
I am a tree
Bending beneath the weight of His wind and mercy
When all of a sudden I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by Glory
And I realize just how beautiful You are and how great Your affections are for me
And oh, how He loves us so,
Oh how He loves us, how He loves us so
Yeah He loves us
Oh how He loves us
We are His portion and He is our prize
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes
If grace is an ocean we’re all sinking
So, heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets when I think about the way
He loves us.

Dear Daddy, The future will hold no regrets, for every day I speak with you and you never hold back your love, nor do I.

Yep, you’re a good daughter.

You’re a good Daddy.

I love you, daughter.

I love you, Daddy.

Ah.....I miss my dad so much. I wish he could see what I have accomplished in life---art, blog, learning all this vague and wonky computer stuff.
He had an original Commodor PC 10!
I kept the memory boards from it. Someday I will do a piece with a photo of him and it will be titled, "Dad's Memory".......
Thanks for this lovely post!

XXOO!!

This is such a sweet post. I never had that kind of relationship with my Dad, and I know I missed out on a lot. I love that picture of your Dad - what a handsome guy, and a sweet smile! xoxo Pam

Oh my Deborah. This gives me goosebumps. Your Dad, a member of the America's FINEST GENERATION! Indeed. And you are blessed with a beautiful loving relationship. God bless all the good fathers. Tell me. From whom did you inherit your beautiful long legs?

Lovely post! You are so fortunate to have known your father, and I know that you know that. Mine died accidently when I was 3 but I still have memories of him. The mind is amazing. Hugs

Hello Deborah, You are his face, you look so much like him. Wonderful words and greatest Love.
I miss my father, who died in 1978. I never got to know him in adult life.
But he travels with me and with my children.
Love you, dear friend

Deb, you have me crying. I miss my Dad so much too. I'd like to think he's up there, playing golf with his buddies, having lunch with his Thurs. group, all gone except 2 of them, and dealing with his mother's complaining!! LOL

Thank you for the tears, I needed that.

xxoo,
Georgina

The beauty...the strength...the complicated goodness of Father/Daughter love.
