Brawny Man

 100_2416

It recently occurred to me that I had not posted an update of my missing shower and that some of you may be concerned about my hygiene.   Hubby, aka, Yard Boy, finished the shower well before Christmas.  I am talking about One Handy Man.  He is not in the construction business.  Ever.  We went with economical tile and put the money into the clear, spa-type door.  In keeping with the handiness of this man, I have come to the conclusion that Yard Boy is beneath him.  He is so much more.

When SPC Ryan was a baby, his first word was Dada.   On our first visit to the grocery store after acquiring his new word, we proceeded to the paper towel section where he saw the Brawny Man on the paper towels and yelled out DADA!  This continued for many years. brawny_old_small

brawny - (of a person) possessing physical strength and weight; rugged and powerful; "a hefty athlete"; "a muscular boxer"; "powerful arms" sinewy,

strong - having strength or power greater than average or expected; "strong medicine"; "a strong man"

Hence forth, hubby/yard boy shall be known as

Brawny Man.

I know you are way too fabulous to ever have an issue with hygiene, so I wasn't all that worried. But thanks for the pic. The shower turned out wonderful!

Thank you for the vote of confidence Deborah.I will try my darndest best. As for me bursting into flames that just happens about every week. I really need to have an automatic extinguisher implanted on me. There ought to be an alarm too. Happy Thursday to you. I shall think of you when I walk today. Oh! I almost fainted during my walk yeaterday! I was rushing too much because I had a very tight schedule.

That shower looks terrific. We're just starting a bathroom reno and are putting in the exact same shower door. LOL

A dear friend of mine took her little girl into a local pizzeria, where there was a copy of the famous painting of Jesus holding out his arms to the viewer. Her two-year-old daughter started saying - quite loudly - "Mommy Mommy - there's Tristan! Tristan is in the picture!" This continued every time she saw that painting until Morgan reached four or five. My friend always wondered if the owners thought we were in a cult and were telling the children that I was Jesus.

Oh Deb, this is the darlingest post ever...Brawny Man...is he EVER!!! And what a beautiful job he did with the shower stall. I have one that's been undone since 1988 ;-O! So I was thinking maybe you could send your brawny man over to have a talk with my handy man? I haven't had a bubble bath in years and could use a good soak in the tub.

Deborah, This post is adorable! And the shower is a dream! I know you are enjoying it!

Okay, my dear husband is wonderful, but a Brawny Man he is not. In fact, he can't hammer a nail into the wall. I am 100% serious. He has the hands of a man who has never done a hard day's work in his life! No kidding! In fact, he calls them the "hands of a fine artist." Which, in Michael speak, translates to..."don't even ask me to do any handyman work." And believe me....I wouldn't dare! I love him for many things, but help with projects around the house is not one of them! Oh, he'll do the dishes, clean the house, start the laundry, feed the dogs and take out the trash, but beyond that, he's hopeless! Does your Brawny Man give lessons on how to be a brawny man? hehe

Have a great Friday!
