Like Water Falling

100_2853

Like water falling,

memories splash into my mind

at the most awkward of times . . .

100_2854

In the grocery store

on the candy aisle,

the site of your favorite childhood treat

can take me to my knees.

100_2855Buckets of memories

pouring over me .

100_2861Like water falling,

some memories have been washed clean.

100_2862  New memories rushing in

Like water falling,

ever changing

ever growing to be more.

100_2857 Drops of you

Drops of me.

100_2863

As one drop cannot be separated

from water falling,

Not one drop of you

Could ever be removed from me.

How lovely, Deb. Thanks for coming by my blog and leaving your heart-felt message. I'm dealing with so much right now, my anxiety level is at it's highest. I hate what's happening, but tough love is just that.

Blessing to you and yours.

Georgina

Deb, these are beautiful, soothing, photographs. I LOVE water! I love the sound of flowing, falling water ~ I can almost hear it looking at these photos. Beautiful words to accompany the photos.

Okay, I am back.

This poem is so intense. Like water, cannot be separated, not one drop...what could be more perfect example of something inseparable unless one is a chemist or physicist then one may say, "you are the Oxygen that completes my two Hydrogen..."

you know what I mean? As far as a unit, nothing could be more inseparable tan water, also nothing more perfect, soothing, calming, refreshing, alas devastating also...

Beautiful, Deborah! I could actually feel the rushing. You can't stop the flow, and it escapes you just as quickly. Your poems are refreshing because they come from the heart.
