Waiting On a Change

100_3624

The bees have been busy gathering pollen from the blooms of the Queen Palm

to carry down the street to the neighbors.

100_3629

The bees don’t seem to mind the long, hot summer.

They keep busy, even in the heat.

As for me, I’m waiting on a change . . .

a change in the weather,

a change of heart,

a change of mind.

100_3636

And just when my dry old bones are about to snap and turn to eternal dust,

then comes the rain.

I was there when it was raining. Last Saturday night my sis and I couldn't understand what was with Ms. Posha, her adorable feline. She was meowing as she was staring out to the backyard from the sliding glass door, then we turned on the lights and saw it pouring..followed my lightening and thunder. As you well know, my dear Deb, there's nothing like a rain storm in the desert!! Right??? As for here in far West TX, it's not raining but the temps have finally dropped....thank God!! I have been miserable this summer and now it's so nice...even the AC swamp cooler has kicked on to low, of course, having it finally fixed!

Anyway, thanks for your sweet comment about the gallery and I'll let you know when they have their big Dia de los Muertos show and perhaps you can slide on over there to do some look-see and have a beer or two and an order of nachos next door at the Zocalo restaurant.

xxoo,
Georgina

Isn't the rain wonderful? I love it. I guess growing up in the desert has given me a lifelong appreciation for raindrops. :)) Xox!

Well, Darlingest of Debs, I hope today brings sunshine...sunshine of the heart and all that goes with it. Remember the old saying, "behind every cloud is a silver lining."
Much love to you today and prayers being sent your way ;-).

Love those blossoms Deb---they are beautiful with the bees, and it is nice to see bees there; we have lost many of ours.
The rain pic looks almost like when we get our first big snowflakes.... ;) Can you tell where MY mind is???

XXOO~~♥

I love Fall and I love the rain - all seems reborn as the leaves drop and all goes dormant in preparation for new life in the Spring.

Lovely post...

catching up here Deb,
you refresh with your spirit.

We're under an incredible heat wave lately, and it's the strangest thing... September of suppose to be crisp and cool and it's stifling and energy sapping.

sending love and hugs and hopes for a great weekend.
I am looking forward to back to school next week, and a little more routine. If there is such a thing :)
