New Shades of Green

The desert is heating up . . .
soon the more delicate flowers
will be finished blooming for the summer.
What's this?
I do believe this Cana Lily
is applauding the last blooms
of the
Dwarf Lily of the Nile.

Oh look!
He is taking a bow!

I noted new shades of green
in the garden last night.
I decided to name them!

What do YOU think?

Actually, I think this one is a

Show Off.

Hello Darling Deb!!! What perfect names you've chosen for your flowering friends. Don't you love when they perform for you? Such bliss!!!!

I hope you have a lovely evening and what's going on with that pipe? A clothes line?

You must have a very short blooming season? Too hot uh? But cacti are beautiful too.

Aren't gardens amazing?!? With just a little dirt, sun, water and TLC those plants give us weeks and months of joy! And through our blogs we get to share that joy with others. I love those names you gave your greens! When we lived in Albuquerque, we had a desert garden and were actually amazed at how many flowering plants there were that loved the heat. Although, where you are, it heats up even more... Hugs, Silke

Beautiful pictures. I'm surrounded by mountians, but I've always had a secret affinity for the desert. Thanks for giving that affinity some validation!

I'm glad you enjoyed my embarrassing moment. Hey I had to let you know that that I made a confession on my blog and I wanted you to hear about it. It's because of dear bloggers like you that I decided to just be myself. You'll have to read about it here http://javajune.wordpress.com/2009/05/29/the-real-me-isnt-quite-as-provocative-as-that-other-girl/

I love all of your flower names...and nary a jessica or Ashley among them! Kudos!

I name mine too...one is "look at you! You actually survived" or my fave... "don't make me get the machete". and "buck up" you really wanna know what a tough life is? look at your neighbor the dehydrated Plumeria!

Apparently...I'm not the nicest plant mom. More of a tough love kinda gal.

Your yard is verdant and beautious!
